Essentials for Kids

100% of money raised will go towards items that local teachers/liaisons identify kids/families may need, but don't necessarily have the means or ability to acquire themselves. This may include food, clothing, school supplies, etc. We will work directly with local family involvement liaisons. These liaisons work with local schools and can identify specific needs of children. This will allow us to know exactly what raised proceeds go towards. We will then be able to share these stories directly with our donors.

We are putting a twist on our annual summer fundraiser this year‼️In collaboration with Barron Equipment and Overhead Doors, we are hosting an event called Hawkeye Huddle 🖤💛This will be a family friendly event on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 at Barron Equipment Company (4710 N.Brady St, Davenport, IA 52806). Batting For Kids is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3). It was started in 2020 in honor of some very special people we lost too soon. The Batting for Kids Team is focused on bringing the community together to help kids and families in need. With the support of the community we have been able to help with rental assistance, food, clothing, extra curricular activities, therapy expenses, the list goes on! Each winter we help create Holiday gift baskets for over 150 needy households within the Davenport School System. Every summer we help with funds for kids to attend local activities including sports, arts, and outdoor camps.

 Our 5th Annual Summer Fundraiser was held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 3-7PM at Chili's Restaurant and Bar in Davenport. We had carnival style games and prizes as well as entertainment throughout the day for the whole family! Something for everyone to enjoy in our huge silent auction sponsored by some of the best businesses in the area!

This year's fundraiser was held once again at Crawford Brew Works in Bettendorf, IA 3-9PM. Fun for the whole family including, games, magician, face painting, prizes and bouncy for the kids! Huge silent and live auctions, live music and so much more! All proceeds raised will go to Kids and Families in the Davenport School System.


3rd Annual Summer Fundraiser

We held our fund raiser on Saturday, Aug 21st,2021 at 3pm. Proceeds received went towards the Essentials for Kids campaign. Event took place at Multiplex Cloud's offices. 8250 N. Harrison St Davenport, IA 52806

Donation Drive

Help us make local kids and families Holidays a little brighter this season. We will be taking donations of personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and toys. These items will be put together into baskets to be distributed by the Family Involvement Liaisons.
