The job of the Family Involvement Liaison is a two fold position within the school building. The first part is to be a liaison for communication between families and school staff,
to be a support and an advocate for families and assist them in building positive, effective relationships with teachers and other school staff to create a team promoting success for their child.
When families have positive and effective relationships with the school, they feel more comfortable and empowered to be involved in their child's academic success.

The second part is to identify and outreach to families struggling with basic needs and to connect them with resources within the community or within the school able to assist them.
When families do not have the stress of meeting the basic needs of their family, they can focus more on the academic success of their child.

Internet (during online learning)
